Gold...

Hey lovelies,
I just got hold of mum's camera and it's such a darling.I don't know how come I had not thought of getting her camera to do my photos, because I promise you I've had the best time ever of blogging today since this holiday at home started. The pics took quite a short time to be uploaded on the blog and they all came out vertically*sighs*
I can't wait to be done all this trouble...but as for now, am grateful for the ability to blog. And on that note, am sorry for not posting yesterday as promised in the previous topic, I was so tired after a loong day and all I did when I came home was drop dead in slumberland.
And by the way, I just realised today morning that there's not so many clothes I brought home with me for the stay.I certainly did not expect to be here for this long, and that explains why I might be rocking this black dress for a few more days...*just kidding*
Here is how I wore my dress

I tied a red scarf around my neck, then belted it gold.
I then matched it up with gold jewelry made by me...

and this white bracelet to match my handbag

And this shoe, Oh I love, I can't remember the last time a shoe was so comfortable I'd sleep in it(just saying)and forgive the water and dirt on my shoe, it' been raining like no man's business here
This earring made by me are still a wonder to behold(not so clear from pictures)
What do you think about my outfit?

Home...

Hey lovelies!
I hope you're well.
Am doing good, thanks.
My stay at home is awesome, except of course for the slow internet...and the unfortunate difficulty I've faced while uploading the photos to the blog. Most of the photos turn out horizontally and I don't know yet how to solve the situation.
And due to that, I've thought it fit for me to do a post on a topic(to be decided tomorrow) for as long I'll be at home~less than one week, then I'll get back to uploading when am back to Nairobi.
Till then, please be patient with me.
Talk to you tomorrow.
Take care!
Bye!

Polka and floral

Hey lovelies,
How you all doing?
I don't have much to say today, I just gotta do lots of waiting while this blog post 'posts itself'.The internet just happens to take its sweet time to do anything whatsoever and I almost feel like crying now *sob*
Am so tired of the long process involved in uploading photos to my blog and that's the only thing that makes me feel like going back to school soon...So help me God.I don't know what time I'll be done posting this, maybe past midnight, but I'll be waiting till then, never mind am so drowsy.

Am so sorry if the photos are uploaded facing weird directions.I've been experiencing this problem for the past three days and still can't figure out where the problem is, and how to solve it.
Bye!

Simplicity

Hey lovelies!
How you doing?
I never knew just how much I loved vintage dresses until last Friday while shopping I looked around at the stall and observed that every other person around the stall was an elderly woman, maybe grandmas...what?Say hello to vintage girl! I smiled to myself and thought to myself, "well, this is just who I am"...and am not complaining..I love that I love vintage. My grandma and I would definitely share a wardrobe and I'd be so happy with that...lol-:)
Here is what I wore to church today...
It's a two piece dress with a yoke at the breast-line and capped sleeves...
I love this dress for its simplicity. This is one of those dresses that don't need to be accessorised...they simply just stand for themselves.

Being a pear shape, the dress' waist line does not automatically flatter my body..and these two belts came in so handy in making this dress work.I worked with a red bet, and a black one too.I tied the red dress for the sake of colour, but it was too thin to emphasize my waist so I added a black belt of the same design..(black, to avoid splashing too much colour, especially around the waist), and same design, because I thought it looked cool that way.
I however only let the black belt show at the front and tucked it in beneath the red belt at the back...

Based on this red belt, I wore my red head piece and red lipstick and I was good to go.
And this ankle boots recently gifted to me by my cousin so well finished up the look.
What do you think about this look?
I'd love to hear from you!

Dress on skirt...

Hey lovelies,
When I travelled home last week, I didn't have much space in my bag too carry all  my hair products,so I carried what I deemed very essential, and on my list was  moisturiser, serum,leave-in, and coconut oil.I yesterday got myself a new bolttle of amla plus, and it came in really handy in today's treat.
I spent the bettter time of my morning washing clothes out in the sun and halfway through I thought to myself, "since today is hair wash day, I'd better treat my hair now, and make hay while the sun shines.."
And well, as you'd realise, I didn't carry m deep conditoner , due to the easier available option of concoctionns.So today, I really just was working with what was in the fridge;
I mixed avocado (mashed, then sieved)+ lemon juice(squeezed out of a lemon, of course)+ amla plus herbal oil+honey+egg yoke...I let it sit on my head for as long as I was washing clothes in the sun, and I loved how it looked after rinsing, my new growth was very soft and smooth, this is definitely a recipe I'll be repeating...
This is what I wore on Friday last week:)

I wore a black dress on top of a round skirt..then finished up the look with accessories made by me...and a waist defining belt.

Do you see that layer down there?the inner layer is my round skirt and the outer garment is the dress...

What do you think about the outfit?
bye!

Miss Rainbow

Hey lovelies,
How you doing?
Am so sorry for the inconsistent blogging.Am at home now and have to rely on an internet stick for internet connectivity which is so super slow.It would take two hours to upload photos, two hours to post them on the blog, and another two hours to publish the post...and this whole exercise is stretching my patience to the limit *sob*sob*..but hopefully tomorrow I'll get a better laptop.
This is what I wore today for a day that I was feeling all so colorful you'd almost confuse me for a rainbow...but really, is there a colour that didn't feature in this outfit?
I wore a yellow chiffon scarf on my black dress and held it in place with my multicoloured belt which so well matches my newly acquired handbag..

For some reason I can't figure out, this picture just won't be uploaded vertically..

What do you think about this outfit?

African

Hey lovelies
How are you?
Am doing good thanks,
I always wished I’d stay with my mum, you know; go to school, and come home to mama everyday…but after these one and a half days at home, am starting to think twice. What? All I’ve been doing since I arrived home is eat, eat and eat like I’d been starving for a few months, thanks to my dear mum.
Every time I come home, mum complains of how small I’ve become, and tells me how much I need to eat to gain weight…and there she goes, giving me a plateful of food and adding more and more food to my plate until my stomach can take in no more. And  then she’ll tel me “eat, eat girl  and then we shall go for jogging”…never mind we’ve never gone for jogging. What? somebody needs to tell my mum am not small, so she can stop cheering me into obesity. In fact am afraid that if continue staying at home I’ll gain twenty pounds or so…)
But hey, am still staying at home for a few more weeks or so;) I guess i’ll just have to say hello to a few more pounds on me.
But form today, precaution will be taken..)
This is what I wore last Friday:)
I was very clueless in the morning.I knew I wanted something simple, so I wore my little black dress and for some colour, I played around with this yellow scarf of mine ,so and when something good came out, , I thought “why not?”
To complete the look, I wore all things African:a wooden bangle, and matched it with  my animal-print earrings
This is how I tied my scarf:

I then blocked it using this blue-green belt.

The earrings and the bangle: perfect match

This bracelet at my forehead pretty much just gives an edge to this look..
